Keota is bordered to the North and West by Kerr Lake and several ranges of rolling hills, bearing colorful names such as Gingles Mountain and Seven Devils Mountains. The plentiful meadows and woods make this area a hunter's paradise. Wild turkey, deer, quail, squirrel, coon, and possum are plentiful. Kerr Lake, as well as many farm ponds and water-filled strip mines, yield large amounts of crappie, bass, perch and catfish each year. Hunting and fishing are enjoyed by all ages.
