Concurrent Enrollment for Juniors/Seniors

 

The concurrent enrollment program provides an opportunity for interested juniors and seniors to expand their course studies. A cooperative program set forth by the State Board of Education and the Regents for Higher Education, concurrent enrollment allows qualifying juniors and seniors enrolled in an accredited Oklahoma High School to be admitted provisionally to a college or university in the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education as special students provided, they meet certain requirements.

 

Requirements for Juniors and Seniors to participate in concurrent enrollment include the following:

  1. Students must meet the published criteria for admission to the selected college or university.
  2. Student enrolled in two college courses must be enrolled in Keota High School for five class periods.
  3. Students enrolled in one college course must be enrolled in Keota High School for six class periods.

Parents/guardians must sign college admissions packet and are responsible for transportation to enroll at selected college or university.  Credit will be given on the student’s high school transcript for each college course completed and the corresponding grade will be recorded also for credit and GPA purposes. Keota High School will provide a computer lab for students to complete online classes. Parents/guardians are financially responsible for all monetary expenses related to class/classes.
