I’m a Keota Lion through and through!! I am a Keota graduate from the class of 1981. I received my Associates Degree from Connors State College in 1983 and went on to Northeastern State University.
After a long break from college and working in the corporate world for 20 years and running my home business for about 7 years, I returned to Northeastern State University in the Spring of 2009 and completed my Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Special Education in the Fall of 2011.
I obtained my first Masters Degree in 2016 from NSU in the area of Education -Reading Specialist. I recently completed my second M. Ed. in May 2020 in the area of Psychometry at Southwestern Oklahoma State University and am currently enrolled in their program to become a Certified School Psychologist. Expected completion date is May 2022.

Joined Keota School in January 2012 and became the Elementary Special Education teacher in August 2012.
Married my husband, Richie Harris in December 1997. We have two daughters, Kayla 21 and Kayce 16. Kayla is a 2017 graduate from Keota School and Kayce is a Junior here at Keota. I have a son, but he has four legs and answers to the name of Beau!!
I’m usually too busy for hobbies due to work and continuing my college education, but I love to watch my daughter with her show steer, we travel to Oklahoma City each year for her to participate at Oklahoma Youth Expo.
When not teaching, I’m usually doing college coursework, or enjoying my family!
