Keota Public School will be closed on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. This will be a "snow day", that will be made up. Our county, side, and rural roads are still covered. Please stay safe and warm.

The scheduled Local School Board meeting will be conducted at 5:00 p.m. in the Administration building this evening- Monday, January 15, 2024.
Due to the dangerously low temperatures and the bad road conditions for our buses, Keota Public School will not be in session on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. This will be observed as a "snow day" with no virtual work required for our staff or students (which means we will be making it up later). School will not be in session and the district offices will be closed. Please stay warm and safe. If anyone in the community is in need of shelter, food, or warmth- please reach out to us here on facebook and we will do our very best to help.

Flu seasons are unpredictable and it seems many of our students are currently unwell. As a reminder parents/guardians, please keep your child home if they have fever. Many infections are spread through person to person contact- hand hygiene is important. Remind your child to wash their hands and cover coughs and sneezes. The school will be extra-sanitizing over the weekend.

The Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) is recruiting community volunteers to provide literacy tutoring and enrichment activities to elementary schools in our state. The OSDE is working with several large districts and districts that currently operate expanded learning grant sites to expand tutoring for students during holiday breaks and will provide a toolkit for community tutors to use with students. Several in-person and online training options will be available for tutors. This is an amazing opportunity for community members to support their local community and grow relationships with their local school district.
